There is a fraction of a second — when molten metal hits a cold surface, when lava meets the sea, when a drop of liquid is caught by a camera at 1/10,000th of a second — where matter is neither one thing nor another. It is in motion and at rest simultaneously. Our S925 Silver Fluid Lava Sculptural Organic Stud Earrings capture that fraction of a second and wear it on the ear.

Each earring is a unique sculptural form: an asymmetric, three-dimensional blob of high-polish metal that looks as though it was poured, splashed, and frozen at the exact moment of maximum expressiveness. The main body is irregular and organic — no two edges are the same, no surface is flat — with two or three through-holes of varying sizes piercing the form like bubbles that burst just before the metal set. From the lower edge, one or two slender, curving tendrils extend freely, like the last fingers of a lava flow reaching toward the ground.

The mirror-polish finish turns every irregular surface into a reflective plane, so the earring catches and distorts the light around it in a constantly changing display. It is, in the truest sense, a wearable sculpture.
